The news the past two weeks in my neck of the woods has surrounded the killer of Jessie Davis, the 26-year-old mother of one (and expecting another) from Plain Township, Stark County, Ohio. Bobby Cutts Jr. was convicted of her murder and that of her soon-to-be-born baby girl, Chloe, among other charges. The disappearance of Jessie in mid-June prompted search parties, some called for by Cutts (who at the time was not a suspect), others led by a group called Texas EquuSearch. Apparently, the guilt of what he did led him to lead authorities to Jessie’s body nine days after her disappearance in a Summit County park, a place where no one would have ever thought of looking.
I see a lot of parallels between the case of the missing (and later found) Jessie Davis and that of missing (and yet to be found) Christine Sheddy. The big differences are, first of all, no Christine, and secondly, no one stepping forward saying they know something, one way or another, about her disappearance. Seeing as how she’s been missing for three months now, foul play is suspected, but apparently (if that is the case) whoever is responsible is at peace with him/her self (noot pointing any fingers).
I also don’t see any involvement from those close to Christine. First of all, where has Levi Hall been in this whole thing ? If Christine were my girlfriend, I’d be searching day and night for her and I wouldn’t rest until she was found. And I would have the support of my family as well, no matter what they thought of her. Family is about binding together to help one of their own in a time of need, not about hurling fiery darts at the family of the missing party. It’s time for Joyce Hall and her family to bury the hatchet and extend an olive branch to Lynn Dodenhoff and family, for the good of Christine, no matter what she thinks about Christine’s character.
Someone has suggetsed, on another blog, that Christine ran away. I want to cover that angle, and play devil’s advocate for a moment. Say she did just walk away. There are photos of Christine all over the web. There are notices of her disappearance all over the place. Plus, we live in the most technologically-advanced age in the history of the world. Nearly everyone has a camera on their person at all times, in the form of a cel phone. If she was in another town, you’d think someone somewhere would have seen one of these notices, seen her, taken a picture, sent it to either WCBOI, WBOC, WGMD, or some media outlet (at the minimum) and lead officials to look in that area.
Once again, courtesy of WGMD, if you know anything about the disappearance of Christine Sheddy, here is the information you need…
“A reward is being offered for information that leads to finding Christine Marie Sheddy, who has been missing since last month. Sheddy is 27 years old, about 5 feet, 3 inches tall and weighs 100 pounds. She went missing on Nov. 13, and at that time Sheddy had blond, shoulder-length hair. Sheddy and her two young sons were staying with her mother at her Bowers Beach home. Sheddy told her mother she was going to Pocomoke to visit a couple she met through her boyfriend, who is the father of her children. Anyone with information about Sheddy should contact the Worcester County Bureau of Investigation or the Worcester County Sheriff’s Office. Those numbers – 410-352-3476 or 410-632-1111.”
Thank you for continuing to put Christine’s story out there. So much time has passed and it feels as though people are forgetting about her. Christine is a mother, a daughter, and a friend to many. Keep talking, keep writing, and keep looking.
And, the statement you made that Levi and his family have made no attemt to locate Christine is true. They have her two boys and that’s all that matters to them it seems. One day those boys will grow up and learn the truth surrounding their mother’s disappearance. They will then learn how their own grandmother bad mouthed their mother and basically told the only people capable of finding her that she “ran away”. Way to grow Grandma!
We miss you Christine Sheddy!
Krystle and Eric Keesser are my children.Krystle has spoke of Christines dissapearence often.she always was a nice girl and I am sorry she is still missing.
The police are following any and all leads of this case. They even came up to Milford to check out a “Christine Sighting” compliments of Joyce Hall. Joyce spotted Christine at the Milford Walmart and followed her in the car and got the license plate number. Of course this wasnt Christine. But any leads are better than no leads. So we keep waiting. Thanks for refreshing everyones memory. I sit by the phone and wait for information to come my way. I do research on the computer, write letters make phone calls and basically try to make sure that my daughter is not forgotten. Thank you again for the interest.
Joyce seems to believe she just “ran away,” or she’s playing games with you and your family, Lynn. I’m sorry she can’t be more cooperative.
The posting will be at the top of this blog until the case is closed, one way or the other. Please keep us up to date as you see fit.
Thank you Pat,
I appreciate you still having an interest in this story. Thank you for all that you can do to help us help Christine. I will keep you updated when I can release any info.
Lynn
Yeah, I’m sure Joyce “spotted” Christine. She’s so full of BS. The spotlight has been off her for a little while now and she needs to put it back on her. I wish she really did see Christine driving around the local walmart, but we know if Christine were that close to her children she wouldn’t be shopping. She’d be taking her kids back and getting them away from the hands of evil.
I have been constantly thinking about what Pat posted in the second paragraph, last sentence-about the responsible parties being at peace w/themselves. My mind just can not comprehend how no one has come forward with reliable information. From what I can gather, atleast 4 people could be very helpful in solving this case. This whole situation isn’t going to go away. How in the heck are these people going about their lives as if nothing has occured? What is it? Is it something in their upbringing or backgrounds that they can’t be forthcoming?
I was tying together the Bobby Cutts murder of Jessie Davis here near where I live – where guilt got the best of Cutts, which led to his demise. I can’t understand it myself – how guilt has not riddled the person/people responsible. All I can figure is, and I hate to put it that way, but he/she/they must be at peace with the whole matter.
I am completely appalled at the way this entire case has been handled. I’ve been keeping up with Christine since the first couple of weeks of her disappearance. My heart and my gut can’t help but to feel Levi Hall has his hand in Christine’s disappearance. If this is the case, and Levi, I’m sure you’re reading this. I would really like for you to sit down and do some soul searching and think about what’s going to happen to YOUR children as a result of their mother being gone. If you know or DID something concerning Christine’s disappearance, do yourself a HUGE favor and repent, NOW. Do you REALLY think YOUR children are better off without their mother in their lives? As for Joyce, from what I’ve read, I just don’t EVEN see ANY hope or help for someone who appears to be an OPPORTUNIST and is using Christine’s disappearance to give herself her 15 minutes of fame. Yeah, I’d really be proud of myself for the fame you’ve created for yourself. What kind of a person are you, anyway? My thoughts revolve around “Monster” rather than human being!! God have mercy on your sick, pathetic soul, because you’ve proven to the world just EXACTLY who and what you are, and I don’t know ANYONE who would be proud of that!! God Bless Christine’s friends and family, and don’t ever give up on her. From what I can see, Christine’s a beautiful, loving, young lady, who was trying to find a better way and a better life for her beautiful babies. God help those babies, they’re such sweet innocent victims.
I wish someone would come forward. I never knew Levi like I knew Christine. Her and I grew up together down the road from each other for the longest time. I talked to her about 2-3 weeks before her disappearance and she wanted to go with me to Philly or Baltimore to work. She told me she wanted to get ahead in life. She talked about her kids and how she loved them so much. She was happy she had them even though she was going through rough times. I’m a mother also. I know she would never just “run away”. That wasn’t like Christine. SOMEONE NEEDS TO COME FORWARD!!! God forbid, and I hate to say it, if she is gone, she needs to be laid to rest properly. I JUST HOPE SHE STILL IS ALIVE. IT WOULD BE NICE TO SEE HER AGAIN AND MANY CAN AGREE WITH ME! God bless her family.
Christine is my cousin on my dad’s side. I always looked up too her. We kind of lost touch for reasons. but i love and miss her. Im praying she will be found. I LOVE YOU GIRL!
Theres another murder victim in Pocomoke City. That makes 2 murders and 1 missing since November. Do you think that NOW something will be done? Maybe if they get the FBI and state police involved we could probabley find my daughter.
Might that be the missing link…FBI investigators ? Maybe having the FBI nose in a little will help bring this whole thing to a close.
Christines MOm, Please contact the FBI tell them you are getting a petition to have a search for your daughter. You need closure or some kind of answers. i pray you find them. This has really touched my heart.
Someone please find my cousin!!
To answer the question yes. The authorities have given up on Christine Sheddy and her family. Why have there not been large scale “law enforcement” led searches for the remains of Christine? Oh because they do not believe she is dead. I love the optimism but it is false optimism at best and apathy at its worse. We have the right to know if there is a murderer walking among us. How better to discover this than helping her family find her remains. I am a fiscal conservative to the core, but I would have no problem spending tax dollars to bring closure to this family and justice for Christine. I know there are alot of people out there who are reading these blogs who really do care about this story and to all of you; please keep your voices loud, clear and never ending. There are some people who are reading these blogs that are knowledgeable about this case to you; it has long since been time for you to come forward so please do it now. There are some people who are reading these blogs who are responsible for Christine’s disappearance to you; this is never going to go away you will be found, you will be convicted and you will be brought to justice.
Christine’s mom, I do hope that the fact that there was another murder victim in Pocomoke City will cause them to get the FBI and state police involved.
If somebody did something to Christine, that person will harm someone else eventually. Keep searching the cases around you for similarities! Don’t give up!
There are a lot of people praying for you and your family!
